Raw truth about washing, drying, and breaking in your Rocker1 denim so it fades like a story, not a mistake.
The short version
Wash cold, inside out, as rarely as you can stand. Hang dry, always. That's 90% of it.
Why less washing wins
Every machine wash strips indigo. If you want that lived-in fade with sharp whiskers across the thighs, the denim needs time on your body, not time in the drum. Spot-clean small marks with a damp cloth first.
When you do wash
- Turn them inside out — protects the surface dye
- Cold water, gentle cycle, mild detergent
- Never bleach, never tumble dry
- Hang by the waistband, out of direct sun
Breaking them in
Wear them three or four times before the first wash. Stretch denim recovers overnight, so a snug first fit is right — they'll settle half a size.
The tag
That red fly button and waist tag? Keep the hang tag. Rocker1 originals carry them; fakes don't.
